Get glowing skin with turmeric face mask
The use of turmeric or haldi goes back to ancient India and Egypt. Known for thousands of years for its numerous benefits, turmeric continues to be used in many forms. It also has much to offer for the skin. It is widely used as skin exfoliant and is known to improve skin texture.
The presence of a compound curcumin in turmeric imparts brighter skin complexion. It has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which make it highly effective to reduce many common skin conditions such as acne, rashes, pigmentation and blemishes. Not only does turmeric take care of scars and inflammation but it reduces oil secretion from sebaceous glands.
It also helps to naturally slow down the effects of ageing and restore youth. Continued use of turmeric diminishes the formation of creases and wrinkles.

Turmeric face mask: Mix 2 tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon turmeric and a few drops of honey. Apply a thin layer of this paste on your face. Let it dry for 20 minutes. Scrubbing gently, rinse it off from your face. This paste acts as a natural cleanser.

To banish acne: Turmeric face masks are very effective in reducing acne. Mix some turmeric with sandalwood powder and apply it on your face. Leave it for about 10 minutes and wash off with cold water. Apply this three times a week.

To reduce pigmentation: Mix turmeric powder with lemon juice to make a paste. Apply this on your face every day. Regular application of this paste will help you effectively combat pigmentation.
